Junior Roles
Production Artist, Associate Traffic Manager, Jr. Copywriter, Jr. Art Director, Jr. Interactive Designer
Main Function: Provide tactical support of client initiatives
Reports To: Mid- or senior-level creative person
Primary Responsibilities:
-gain understanding of Hodes products, services and specialty practices, branch processes, equipment and systems
-understand client initiatives, goals and businesses
-support account service teams
Mid-level Roles
Traffic Manager, Production Manager, Copywriter, Art Director, Interactive Designer
Main Function: Provide strategic and tactical support to creative and account service staff
Reports To: Senior-level creative person
Primary Responsibilities:
Traffic Manager
-develop a mastery of the Hodes creative project system
-work with creative directors and account staff to ensure proper creative reqs are completed and submitted in a timely fashion
-guide the flow of creative projects through the department
-support the production manager in vendor relations, quoting projects, packaging and sending creative samples/materials to publications and clients
-manage shipping and printing/production invoices
-assist in preparing/mounting creative pieces for presentation
Production Manager
-manage a large volume of projects and provide accurate quotes and project timelines
-manage a staff of production artists and a traffic manager
-work with art directors and printers on developing affordable collateral and print items, drawing on your knowledge of paper stocks, bindery options and the print process
-manage vendor relations regarding specialty items, printing companies and production houses
-maintain vendor databases, issue/manage POs for outside creative charges
Copywriter
-understand clients' industries, competition, employment value proposition, needs, goals, hiring processes
-assist in the development and execution of employment brands and campaigns
-conceptualize with limited budgets, manage multiple, time-sensitive projects
-attend client meetings
-develop original concepts, understand what a brand is, communicate ideas that are brand appropriate
-understand how to read and interpret a creative req
-present a large volume of ideas to senior-level creative person in a timely fashion
-think conceptually, both visually and verbally
-conceptualize individually and in teams
Art Director
-understand clients' industries, competition, employment value proposition, needs, goals, hiring processes
-assist in the development and execution of employment brands and campaigns
-conceptualize with limited budgets, manage multiple, time-sensitive projects
-attend client meetings
-proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, QuarkXpress, handwork (creating brochure mockups)
-assist in mounting creative pieces for presentation
-think conceptually, both visually and verbally
-conceptualize individually and in teams
Interactive Designer

-assist in the development and execution of employment brands and campaigns

-possess a strong knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, QuarkXpress, Macromedia Flash, Imageready, Dreamweaver, HTML, cascading style sheets

Senior-level Roles
Sr. Copywriter, Sr. Art Director, Sr. Interactive Designer, Associate Creative Director, Interactive Creative Director, Creative Director, Regional Creative Director
Main Function: Serve as a strategic ally to our client partners
Primary Responsibilities:
-understand clients' industries, competition, employment value proposition, needs, goals, hiring processes
-develop employment brands for clients
-lead focus groups and surveys for creative input
-work with production managers to quote projects, determine budgets, assess viable media
-orchestrate the flow of work while managing multiple parties
-plan, manage and deliver creative presentations to small and large audiences using a combination of media
-manage client creative expectations, timelines and feedback
-hire, lead, direct, train and mentor junior and mid-level creative staff
Additional Position-specific Responsibilities:
Sr Copywriter, Sr. Art Director, Associate Creative Director
-conceptualize in teams and individually
-produce a high volume of ideas on demand and immediate fresh ad requests
Sr Interactive Designer
-demonstrate strong knowledge of systems and programs, including Macromedia Flash, Photoshop, Imageready, Dreamweaver, HTML, cascading style sheets
Creative Director
-report to branch manager and/or regional creative director
-develop a brand and determine its attributes and unique selling propositions
-think visually and verbally
-conceptualize with the big picture in mind and translate ideas across a wide spectrum of media, including radio, TV, Internet, print, collateral, direct mail and specialty items
-work with branch and production managers to ensure the timely billing of creative projects
-maintain knowledge of the print process, paper stocks, bindery options, typography
Interactive Creative Director
-report to director of interactive
-maintain knowledge of the latest in interactive trends, media and programs
-work with and manage a staff of programmers/interactive designers
Regional Creative Director
-manage creative directors from multiple offices, provide motivation, support and training
-work with branch managers to ensure high levels of quality, strong client relations, adherence to internal procedures, maintenance of positive account executive/creative relations, profitability of creative product
-work with senior account service people to ensure efficient and on-target development of campaign strategies and components
-hire junior and mid-level creative staff for branch offices
-develop team-building efforts and morale among creative staff
