Cynthia
Management Supervisor
The consummate service professional with an open door policy, in the 10 years Cynthia has been with Bernard Hodes Group, she has never said “No, I'm too busy” to clients or fellow employees. In essence, Cynthia has always remained true to the Hodes core values.
Here are just a few examples of where Cynthia has followed those values admirably:
Accountability - Service - Integrity
When turnover occurred in the Dallas branch, Cynthia responded immediately, protecting client relationships, providing intensive training to a new team member and assuming responsibility for internal system updates. Yet, even with these added tasks, Cynthia covered for another employee, who, at the time, had a medical emergency. Cynthia hardly ever complains and works until the job gets done. We think she's happiest juggling at least eight projects, simultaneously.
Passion - Results
Another moment where Cynthia rose to the occasion with great aplomb was when a long-time Hodes client was purchased by a company who used a competing agency and Cynthia refused to let them go without a fight. Even as our competitors dismissed the idea that this client would ever move away from the other agency, Cynthia was already working to prove them wrong. Through her hard efforts, Hodes ultimately inked a $1.5M contract with them.
Point of View - Curiosity -- Open Minds
Cynthia takes the initiative to learn company systems, procedures and processes, and works to improve them. She is often asked to be a beta tester on new technology and doesn't hesitate to make suggestions.
Respect
And, in the matter of respect, a crucial value for Hodes and beyond, Cynthia is always pleasant to work with, even under stress. She always has time to stop what she's doing and review an ad for a final time, as is our process here in Houston.
The essay above was submitted by Cynthia's colleague in Houston, Tracy.
