Robin has been the most amazing mentor to me over the past year and a half I have been with Hodes.  I was offered an Account Coordinator position right out of college, and Robin has truly been a huge factor to my success with this company.  I am truly fortunate to have Robin Lash-Warde as a teammate and role model.

First of all, she is extremely respectful to each and every one of her teammates.  Though she is our Director of Strategic Services and has a pretty incredible role in our company, Robin treats everyone as an equal, and always asks for our opinions and ideas, then addresses them.  Even as an Account Coordinator, I feel my input is valuable to her. One of the best things about Robin is her positive feedback.  She ALWAYS recognizes her teammates if they work hard on something, or if they stay late to help out. (Example: “YOU are so wonderful. Thank you for doing this without being asked to and for being proactive. I will review and see if there is anything to add. thanks.” – Robin Lash-Warde)

Robin takes her role as a senior staff member extremely seriously, and is dedicated to the success of others as much as to her own success.  Robin challenges me and is there to gently support me as I grow in my role. Even if I am not working on a project with her, Robin will spend time with me to explain what she is doing so that I can learn new things.  Even when she has a pile of papers towering over her, she will guide me through her strategies and explain why she makes certain decisions.  I have learned so much from her, because she always tells me why she is doing something, how she is doing it, how the client will benefit, and how Hodes will benefit.

Robin really has a true desire for her colleagues to succeed … For example, when new creative had to be developed for one of our top healthcare clients, I expressed the desire to lead the new creative development (which was one of my first “big projects”).  Robin installed an incredible sense of confidence in me, and took time each day to go over the progress with me, ask me for my thoughts and concerns, and be there as I grew in my position.  She even gave me the opportunity to present the new creative to the client, and gave me the confidence to go in there and make the client truly believe in our ideas.

Robin is an incredible relationship builder with our clients.  I am continually amazed by how personal she can be with clients while maintaining a high level of professionalism at the same time.  Whenever we go see a client, they will give her a huge hug and warm smile.  She is friends with clients, not just their business contact.  One thing I really look up to her for is her attitude about client relationships.  She always urges me to pick up the phone and talk with them, not just shoot them an impersonal email.  It has really helped me develop my ability to form strong relationships.  She has had many clients follow her from previous jobs just so they can still work with her.  Here is an example from a client I support her on:  “I also must compliment Bernard Hodes on their professionalism and customer service. I’ve dealt with Hodes over the years and everyone has provided consistent high quality service. “ Kathy Hodes – AAA Auto Club, whom Robin has worked with for years.

Robin’s plate is always full, and she is an outstanding expert in every area.  She ramps up new business, strategizes with existing business, mentors her teammates, supports all accounts, forms and maintains relationships with her clients, is the go-to person for ideas, and brings in staggering amounts of revenue.  She does this all with a smile on her face, a bounce in her step and a true passion for her work.  I have never heard her say a negative comment or an unkind word. One of her working goals is to always validate a person’s feelings and opinions.  She possesses so much integrity, and will always do the right thing, and suggests others do the same.

In my opinion, Robin truly exemplifies an ideal Hodes employee on all levels.  She is someone I strive to model after each day.  Robin spends so much time recognizing others’ accomplishments; I would really like to see her in the spotlight for a change.  Robin works a crazy amount of hours for our company, (staying until 2:00am in the office and working on weekends and days off) but still finds time to be a Girl Scout leader, a mother of two, a dedicated friend and a wonderful colleague.  She deserves the world, and a Hodes Honor.

Robin is one of those colleagues who defies description and baffles the casual passer-by. Robin has worked with Hodes for 10 years and in that time has dedicated herself to growing the Orlando branch’s business, providing outstanding and unique solutions to all clients, and furthering the great reputation of Hodes both as a company and an industry leader.

However, Robin is also an internal leader who displays a passion for everyone’s success that is unparalleled. While she is very busy both professionally and personally (she is the mother of two, ages 7 and 3), she never stops motivating her colleagues to succeed. Every day she demonstrates Hodes’ values; here are just a few outstanding examples:

* A new client in 2005, Eckerd Youth Alternatives, presented many challenges, including almost 100% turnover and internal issues that the C-level members of the organization were unwilling or unable to address. Robin worked closely with the client and internal team member to continue to uncover new strategies, including on-campus recruitment initiatives, online and interactive strategies to reach the target audience, promo items and more. Her ability to address this imperfect situation and still find workable strategies was inspiring and effective. The client’s 10% jump in total hires from the previous year also demonstrated results.

* Robin’s work with another Orlando client, Hancock Information Group, brought about a huge amount of billings for the Orlando office, while also providing great testimonials for many of Hodes’ staffing technologies and hiring process re-engineering products.

Having worked with Hancock for years, taking and placing recruitment ads, the Hancock team was ready to address internal issues that were obstacles to their hiring process and overall productivity. After completing a complete hiring process re-engineering assessment, the suggestions were implemented. Hancock immediately saw in increase in successful and qualified candidates and turned around their Orlando office in the span of three months. This led to the opening of a new office in the Tampa market, which led to more work and revenue for the Orlando branch. It also solidified Hodes’ and Robin’s relationship with this client and they have since begun using Hodes iQ.

Sadly, this client is being rolled into its parent company in 2006, taking the recruiting marketing function in-house. However, due to the Hancock team’s rave reviews of both Hodes’ customer service (namely Robin) and Hodes iQ, they will be purchasing the technology in 2006, again generating more revenue.

These are just a few examples of how Robin has lived the nine the Hodes values in the past year. Her dedication to the internal team is just as firm. Robin is a constant resource to all of her teammates bringing her ten years with Hodes and over 15 years in the industry to any discussion, problem or solution.

On a personal note, Robin has had a huge influence on me, and acted as a role model as I continue to grow my professional career. Thank you for your consideration of this true Hodes shining star.
