Florida Hospital is an acute-care health care system with more than 2,800 beds in a comprehensive network of hospitals. Owned and operated by Adventist Health System, Florida Hospital is the second busiest system in the country and treats more than one million patients each year.
Florida Hospital needed a dynamic employer brand that would tell the story of their high-profile organization. Leaders were looking for messaging that was unique to their faith-based mission and would set them apart in the competitive hospital industry. Florida Hospital decided it was time to immerse their team into an in-depth brand discovery process with Hodes.
Through meetings, focus group studies and strategy sessions, Hodes helped Florida Hospital identify and articulate the attributes of its uniquely compelling employer brand. Known as “God’s Work”, this employer brand boldly expressed that working at Florida Hospital is an experience in practicing active faith.
As the creative work was developed, the Hodes team leveraged the true nature and purpose of the organization to tell the Florida Hospital story in its entirety. This offered a rare opportunity to speak to a workplace message that would (a) clearly stand out in a crowded healthcare marketplace and (b) tell candidates what they needed to know to self-select into (or out of) the culture.
